Yeah, Fuente never got that luxury.


I agree that the head coach needs to make all the hiring decisions with no interference. Myabe Whit was concerned about the transition from Beamer to Fuente. Bud Foster seemed like a brilliant idea at that moment but Bud hated recruiting and was looking forward to retirement in a few years. I'm just glad that our next head football coach will be able to relate with the fan base and former players. IMHO, that was Fuente's downfall.
